Lecce have decided to renew the contract of Albanian national team midfielder Ylber Ramadani. According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira, the club has activated the option to extend the contract for another season, which will keep the footballer in Salento at least until the summer of 2027.

At the end of last season, Ramadan's future seemed uncertain due to the loss of his starting status, but the situation has changed significantly during the first half of this season. Positive performances have convinced the club's management of his importance in the midfield.

The 29-year-old is currently ranked as the player with the most kilometres covered in Serie A, a figure that shows his contribution and intensity on the pitch. Ramadani joined Lecce in the summer of 2023 from Aberdeen and is now once again considered a key element of the team.

Asllani far from Turin

Unlike Ramadani, a more delicate situation is going through for Kristjan Asllani at Torino, where he is on loan from Inter. The national team midfielder seems to have fallen out of Marco Baroni's technical plans and is no longer considered part of Torino's sporting project.

Coach Baroni left him off the squad list for the Serie A match against Roma, marking the first time that Asllani has been excluded from the championship list, something that had not happened to him even at Inter.

Meanwhile, reports from Italy indicate that the black and blue club has begun work to find a new destination for the 21-year-old, as there is a lot of interest in him in the transfer market.
