
Charles Leclerc with Ferrari secured "pole position" this afternoon at the Monte Carlo track, in what is his home race. The monogasco pilot gave a time of 1'10”260, being the fastest on the track.
For Leclerc, this is the third time he secures "pole" on this track, with the hope that tomorrow he will break the taboo and reap the first victory on this track. In second place was classified Oscar Piastri with McLaren, with which he will share the first starting line.
In third place was the other Ferrari car, that of Carlos Sainz, which left behind the McLaren car of Lando Norris. So, in the first four places, two Ferraris and two McLarens, while Max Verstappen disappointed with Red Bull.
The reigning world champion and world leader will start tomorrow's race from sixth place. In front of him, in fifth place, was the Mercedes car of George Russell, who made a good appearance.
Lewis Hamilton (seventh), Yuki Tsunonda (eighth), Alexander Albon (ninth) and Pierre Gasly (tenth) were also ranked in the "top-10". Disappointed Alonso (16th) and Perez with the other Red Bull car, 18th.
