The investigation opened by the Prosecutor's Office of Milan about the situation of the Milan club and its ownership, have caused quite a bit of chaos among the red and blacks, who were unprepared for such an event. The "RedBird" company reacted through a press release distributed today, making it clear that it rejected all the accusations, as well as the hints in the media that it did not control the shares in the club.
" RedBird Fund IV and its signatories own 99.93% of AC Milan; the remaining 0.07% is held by special Italian shareholders who are longtime fans of the club. The idea that "RedBird" does not own control of AC Milan is absolutely false and is contradicted by all the evidence and facts, including those that are alluded to be at the foundation of the investigation. When we took control after closing negotiations, "Elliott" provided a loan to the company "RedBird" due after three years without any voting rights. We are not in discussions with any investor who could have control over the club. RedBird is the controlling owner of AC Milan and will remain so ," it was written in the press release distributed to the media.
During today, the Italian media published the sensational news that the Saudi PIF fund, which depends on the royal family, would buy 47% of the club's shares, becoming one of the most important shareholders of the Rossoneri.
