Armir Grima, the coach of the Albanian women's national team, recently gave an interview to "Panorama Sport".
The former famous goalkeeper focused on the performance of the team he leads and the increase in the level of this sport in our country. The Shkodra native also commented on the achievements of the men's national team led by Silvinjo.
Among other things, he does not forget the Superiore and in particular Vllaznia, where he emphasizes that the Shkodranians are playing quality football, while speaking in superlatives about Edi Martini. Describing him as the most suitable person who can send Vllaznia towards winning the championship title.
Grima, a 3-0 victory against Cyprus recently for your team and the League B achieved. Proud of the girls of the red and black national team?
Absolutely yes and I believe we deserved the triumph with Cyprus, this is because we complicated our work. After all, everything should have ended in the first match, where we were leading 0-2 and were defeated 3-2, however, such is football. We dominated in “Air Albania” by winning 3-0 and are now in League B, where we will have even stronger opponents in the matches in March. But, we are ready to give our best again and thanks to the federation and the work of these girls we have moved forward. There is still room for improvement, but the growth is easily noticeable from season to season and this motivates us to improve even more each time.
What about the national team led by Silvinjo, what grade will they get for these qualifiers?
I would say a qualifier on the verge of perfection for Albania. The team has already overcome the somewhat difficult moment that came after the European Championship and is playing convincing football. Showing itself in every field and against every opponent, where Albania does not only play in defense as we are used to seeing, but has the courage and knows how to express itself on the field of play. I say that the national team has achieved something historic with the qualification in the "play off" of the World Cup qualifiers and I am confident that it will show quality there as well, regardless of the opponent it will face in March.
A comment on the Rossoneri's Shkodranians, Mitaj, Hysaj and Broja?
Not only these 3 players, but everyone who took to the field I believe showed their qualities to the best. Since these 3 were mentioned in particular, I would say that Mitaj is the "jewel" of our national team and this is also shown by the assessments from international specialists. Hysaj has also returned to his best form, he looks like a second youth for him and for this he is very happy. While I feel sorry for Broja, he has not been lucky with injuries and I hope he returns stronger than ever. He is an indisputable value of the red and black national team.
Moving on to the Superiore, how do you see this season's championship so far?
E kam ndjekur kampionatin goxha dhe mund të them se është rivaliteti i këtyre sezoneve të fundit. Ka pak diferenca mes skuadrave, ndoshta më lart qëndron katërshja e parë e renditjes. Megjithatë çdo kundërshtar është i rrezikshëm dhe mund të të marrë pikë, prandaj them se deri në fund do ketë shumë rivalitet dhe do kemi një kampionat shumë të fortë dhe ekuilibruar.
Vllaznia në veçanti, bind në syrin tënd?
Po luan futboll ashtu siç duhet dhe duan shkodranët, ka rikthyer entuziazmin që mungonte disi. I shoh në rrugën e duhur dhe shpresoj të vazhdojnë kështu dhe këtë e them pa tifozllëk apo dëshirën si shkodran. Skuadra ka treguar futbollin më të mirë në kampionat e duke bërë diferencën me kundërshtarët direktë. Ka opsione të shumta të luajturit dhe futbollistë tek të cilët mund të besosh në çdo moment, ndaj kam besim tek ky ekip e po ashtu pres akoma më tepër duke njohur cilësitë e lojtarëve tek Vllaznia këtë edicion.
Çfarë ka ndryshuar tek kuqeblutë në krahasim me të shkuarën?
Besoj se grinta, dëshira dhe “uria” janë ato që bëjnë ndryshimin me sezonet e kaluara. Këtu i jap një meritë të veçantë Edit (Martinit), pasi ai e solli këtë psikologji tek skuadra. Unë e njoh atë mirë, jemi rritur bashkë e kemi një karrierë së bashku, është një djalë i zgjuar dhe zgjedhja më e duhur. Nëse ka një trajner që mund ta dërgojë Vllazninë drejt titullit kampion ai është pikërisht Martini. E di çfarë do ekipi, çfarë do Shkodra, si të luajë jo vetëm në fushë ndaj kundërshtarit, por edhe jashtë saj. I uroj shumë suksese dhe të ecë në këtë rrugë siç po ecën deri më tani.
Një opinion për portierët kuqeblu, duke qenë se jeni një ekspert i fushës…
Për mendimin tim Vllaznia ka dy portierë shumë të mirë, siç Pohls dhe Jukaj. Çdo portier ka ato uljet dhe ngritjet e tij gjatë edicionit, por mendoj se tashmë Pohls është përshtatur dhe po tregon nivelin e tij më optimal. Po ashtu Jukaj është një garanci dhe duhet ta shohim në portë duke u aktivizuar për të shikuar performancat e tij. Pastaj se kush do luajë atë e vendos stafi teknik që gjithmonë zgjedh atë që duket më në formë në bazë të asaj çfarë ata shohin çdo ditë në stërvitje.
Është ky sezoni i duhur që Vllaznia të rikthejë titullin?
Shiko, po e dëgjoj shpesh këtë që ky është viti i Vllaznisë, por çdo sezon është i Vllaznisë. Që kur nis kampionati emra si: Vllaznia, Partizani, Dinamo dhe Tirana janë automatikisht pretendentë, kjo vetë nga historia e tyre. Prandaj them se për Vllazninë gjithmonë është objektivi për të fituar titullin dhe kjo nuk ndryshon as këtë edicion. Megjithatë kushtet duken optimale që titulli të rikthehet pas 25 vitesh mungesë, por ka ende rrugë përpara dhe duhet sakrifikuar në çdo ndeshje dhe ndaj çdo kundërshtari për të arritur objektivin maksimal në fund të edicionit.
Si e mendon dhe parashikon duelin e radhës të shkodranëve në fundjavë përballë Partizanit?
I personally do not see the differences between the two teams in the standings at all and I believe that they do not underestimate this at Vllaznia either. Partizan is not a weak team, but very strong and will seek to continue with positive results after the victory over Teuta recently. These matches themselves motivate and charge the players to give their best. I expect a strong and fought match, but I say that Vllaznia as a whole has more quality than Partizan. And it is precisely this quality that will make the difference and I say that the red and blues will successfully pass this test, getting a victory in the capital.
