Not part of the EU, the FIGC makes the important decision for English and Swiss players in Serie A

Via its official website, the FIGC announces that British and Swiss footballers will be EU players from the 2023-2024 season. 

Considering the request received from "Seria e Lega Nazionale Professionisti A" for professional footballers of British nationality. The Italian Football Federation has considered the proposal acceptable, making Swiss and British footballers equal to EU citizens in all respects. These provisions will apply in relation to the 2023-2024 football season. 

The rule is particularly effective for Milan, who have signed an Englishman and a Swiss in recent weeks, former Chelsea player Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Swiss Noah Okafor. 

Therefore, the red and blacks currently have two vacancies, although one can be filled very quickly, as Çe is close to becoming official with the red and blacks.
