AF Elbasani is the second team to mathematically secure participation in the "Final Four" in the Abissnet Superiore, even though there are four weeks left until the end of the regular season.
The Yellow-Blues achieved this goal after a 2-1 victory over Teuta, in the match held at the “Niko Dovana” stadium in Durrës. With this success, Elbasan climbs to 59 points, maintaining second place in the standings and ensuring continuity in the title race.
The match, valid for the 32nd week of the Superiore, was characterized by a better first half for the locals, while in the second half Elbasani reacted and managed to overturn the result.
After the match, Elbasan coach Ivan Gvozdenovic told the media that qualifying for the "Final Four" is an important achievement for the team, especially considering the absences.
According to Gvozdenovic, the team went through a difficult moment due to the absences, but managed to meet the minimum seasonal objective. He emphasized that the first half was not at the right level, while in the second there was a noticeable improvement in the game.
The coach also highlighted the performance of several players, highlighting Qose's role in the tactical scheme and Bunjak's contribution. He admitted that Teuta was better in the first 45 minutes and added that, in the end, a draw would have been a fair result.
" We are officially in the Final Four and this is very important for us. It was a difficult moment for us, because we had a lot of absences. Happy for the boys, we achieved the objective of fighting for the title.
