Part of Dinamo and Partizan staff, Albania U-15 appoints new coach

The Football Federation has reached an agreement with coach Genti Mahmuti, who will take over the leadership of the Albanian U-15 National Team. Mahmuti returns to the red and black structures after previous experience as assistant coach of the U-19 and U-21 national teams during the years 2012–2016. He has also been part of the staff of Partizan, Dinamo and the “Loro Boriçi” sports school.

The red and black coach has signed a 2-year contract and will lead the U-15 team in friendly and official matches. Mahmuti will also be one of the coaches responsible for the Albanian Football Association's "Elite Youth Academy". More specifically, he will be the coach of the 2011 birthday age group.

"Elite Youth Academy" is one of the most ambitious projects of the Albanian Football Federation, which aims to build a sustainable and modern structure for the identification, education and technical development of the most promising talents at an early age.

With specialized staff, unified methodology and comprehensive support, this project represents a key link in the AFF's long-term vision to build strong and competitive National Teams at all age levels.

Meanwhile, coach Armand Dama will continue working with the same age group by taking charge of the Albanian U-16 National Team and will continue working at the "Elite Youth Academy" with the 2010 birth year generation. Meanwhile, coach Francesco Vitobello will be in charge of the 2012 birth year age group at the "Elite Youth Academy".

Fatjon Tafaj is the new coach of the Albanian U-17 National Team.

The Football Federation has reached an agreement with the Albanian coach, who will sit on the red and black bench today and will lead the team in the upcoming official and friendly matches.

Tafaj has a long and valuable experience in the field of coaching. Most recently, he managed the Kukës team, while previously he was the coach of Kamza and assistant coach in teams such as Dinamo City, Partizani, Shkëndija, Kukësi, Kamza and Vllaznia. From November 2018 to November 2019, Fatjon Tafaj was also part of the technical staff of the U-21 National Team, in the role of assistant coach.

The 43-year-old coach will lead the U-17 national team for the next two years according to the contract signed with the Albanian Football Association.
