The goalkeeper of the Italian national team and PSG at the same time, Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner have been robbed and attacked in their home in Paris, reports say.
The couple was targeted by "several people" and tied up in their home, in the eighth arrondissement in the center of the capital, police sources told French media.
They are then said to have escaped to a nearby hotel.
The alarm was raised by hotel staff and the couple was taken to hospital.
Unconfirmed reports on news site Actu17 say the attackers made off with a substantial amount of cash.
France's special BRB police unit, which deals with armed robberies and thefts, has launched an investigation.
Regarding the event, sports journalist Fabrizio Romano reacted, who wrote a status on Facebook about the event:

PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and his wife were victims of a violent robbery during which the two were tied up.
The financial damage is estimated at 500 thousand euros. The victims, who were tied up, managed to take shelter in a hotel located not far from their home around 03:20 am.
