Albanian footballer from Kosovo, Lindon Emërllahu, has stood out with his performance in the Ukrainian championship, becoming the protagonist in the second match with the Polisja Zhytomyr jersey.
In the away match against LNZ Cherkasy, a team that was leading the standings before this match, Polisja achieved an important victory with a score of 1-3. Emërllahu scored the second goal for his team in the 33rd minute, directly contributing to this success.
The 23-year-old's transfer to Ukraine was completed for a reported fee of 1.5 million euros, paid by Polis Zhytomyr to acquire him from Cluj. The investment seems to be paying off on the pitch, as Emërllahu has been a starter in his first matches with his new team.
After this victory, Polissya Zhytomyr has climbed to third place in the standings with 36 points, five less than the current leaders, Shakhtar Donetsk, strengthening their positions in the race for the championship lead.
