
The match between Flamurtari and Elbasan, held at the "Flamurtari" stadium in Vlora, ended amid tensions and incidents that included both the stands and the interior of the stadium.
According to reports, at the end of the match, Elbasan's players went to the stands where their fans were to celebrate. Then, as the team was leaving for the locker rooms, the situation became tense between Elbasan fans and the police forces present at the stadium, leading to a clash between them for a few moments.
In an attempt to calm the situation, Flamurtari's director, Alfred Ferko, approached the stands where Elbasan fans were. Meanwhile, objects and fireworks were thrown from the home fans' stands towards the opposing fans.
The incidents continued inside the stadium. It is reported that Elbasan captain Musta provoked the staff and Flamurtari players, who were leaving for the locker room. The situation then degenerated into a clash between the players, where according to sources there was even physical violence.
The intervention of the police was immediate to separate the parties and calm the situation. According to the published footage, coach Gvozdenovic was prevented by the police from approaching to calm the players.
Due to the tensions, the Elbasan team left the “Flamurtari” stadium more than an hour after the end of the match. Police forces remained on standby around the stadium until the situation normalized and then the green light was given for the team to leave.
It is learned that the Vlora police escorted the Elbasan team's bus to the Levan area. The escort was then continued by a Fier police patrol to the Lushnja exit, in order to avoid possible incidents along the way.
