The final minutes of the Serie A match between Napoli and Lecce were accompanied by moments of tension and concern on the pitch, after an episode involving the friendly team's striker, Lamek Banda.
The player suddenly fell to the ground unconscious, causing immediate panic among the players and technical staff. Among the first to run to his aid was midfielder Ylber Ramadani, while Napoli coach Antonio Conte left the bench and entered the field to take a closer look at the situation.
Medical teams from both teams immediately intervened and provided first aid to the player. Banda was then transported by ambulance to the hospital for further medical checks.
According to initial reports, his condition is not serious. The player had received a blow to the left hip just seconds before the episode, while the situation was also influenced by an emotional state.
The Lecce club announced that the footballer is expected to become a father in the coming days and that he had misinterpreted the pain he felt, which is suspected to have led to a temporary loss of feeling.
