PSG did not go beyond a 2-2 draw against Lorient, in the match valid for the 31st week in Ligue 1, held at the “Parc des Princes”. The PSG coach had chosen to leave several starters on the bench, on the eve of the return match in the Champions League semi-finals against Bayern Munich.
The French champions took an early lead in the 6th minute through Ibrahim Mbaje, who headed home after a blunder by the opposing goalkeeper. Lorient responded in the 23rd minute, when Pablo Pagis equalised with a controlled left-footed shot from a cross into the box. The first half ended in a 1-1 draw.
In the second half, the Parisians regained the lead in the 61st minute through Zaire-Emeri, who scored from distance, with the ball ending up in the net thanks to a deflection. However, Lorient did not give up and in the 78th minute Ajegun Tosin equalized the score at 2-2, sealing the final score.
After this draw, PSG remains at the top of the standings with 70 points, while Lorient is ranked 9th with 42 points. On the other hand, Lens holds second place with 63 points, but has one less game to play.
