A serious road accident resulting in the loss of one life occurred this afternoon on the Çermë-Divjakë national axis, near the village of Çermë-Shkumbin.
According to preliminary data, it is reported that a "BMW" vehicle collided head-on with an "Opel" vehicle. The collision resulted fatal for the driver of the "Opel", 39-year-old Bajram Kaçani , who lost his life at the scene.
The accident also injured 4 people traveling in the BMW vehicle. Among them are 2 children, who, according to doctors, are out of danger.
The injured were urgently transported to Lushnja Hospital, where they are receiving medical treatment.
The Traffic Police arrived at the scene, carried out the first investigative actions and secured the evidence. Under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the investigative group is working to clarify the dynamics and causes of the accident.
