Rei Manaj, the 28-year-old Albanian former striker for Sivaspor in the Turkish First League, has moved to Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates for a fee of 2 million euros. Manaj signed a two-year contract with his new club, making him one of Sivaspor's most expensive transfers since the signings of Yunus Emre Konak and Fabio Bilica.
Manaj, who previously joined Sivaspor on a free transfer, has become one of the team's top scorers, scoring 34 times and providing 8 assists in 63 matches. Manaj, who has a market value of 3 million euros, has also scored 9 goals in 41 matches for the Albanian national team.
The player sold for the highest transfer fee in Sivaspor's history was Yunus Emre Konak, who moved to Brentford for €4.5 million in the 2023–2024 season. He was followed by Brazilian defender Fabio Bilica, who joined Fenerbahçe for €2.5 million in the 2009–2010 season. In the 2015–2016 season, Moroccan defender Manuel da Costa moved to Greek side Olympiacos for €2 million, while newcomer Rei Manaj joined United Arab Emirates side Sharjah FC for the same fee.
