Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has failed to inspire his team recently and some are citing his personality as the main reason.
Alonso turns 44 this Tuesday, November 25, and instead of celebrating that Real Madrid is at the top of La Liga and among the best teams in the Champions League, many people are starting to think that his days are numbered due to the many fires that he has yet to put out.
The latest setback came less than 24 hours ago, with the news that Vinicius Junior had informed the club that he would not renew his contract as long as tensions with the Basque coach continued.
And it's not surprising, considering that some gestures from the coach towards the Brazilian, who didn't receive them well (like the substitution in El Clásico), have raised doubts about his ability to manage a team full of stars.
Vini, Valverde, Camavinga, Rodrygo and Bellingham, among others, are emerging as leaders of a revolt that looks set to end with the coach's departure from the bench soon, especially since the club's hierarchy is siding with the players and paid little attention to him when he asked for the signing of Martin Zubimendi, his only wish of the summer.

The dispute dates back a long time.
Surprisingly, the problems between the team and the coach did not start now, as some strange behaviors have started to appear on the pitch, such as the lack of reaction of some players during Alvaro Rodriguez's goal in the 2-2 draw against Elche.
Xabi lost the dressing room in the summer, during the Club World Cup, which ended with Madrid's elimination by Paris Saint-Germain, who inflicted a painful 4-0 defeat on them in the semi-finals. Incidents involving Valverde in Almaty and Vinicius in El Clásico only added fuel to the fire.
Despite the disagreements, Alonso believed he could stick to his usual leadership style, which is much stricter than that of his predecessor, Carlo Ancelotti, and it ended up blowing it all up.
Now, all that remains to be seen is whether there will be a dramatic turn of events and he will stay, or whether his departure will be announced soon.
