A new card will be used for the first time in football since 1970, when yellow and red became part of this game in the World Cup. What everyone previously called the orange card will actually be blue and the IFAB, the organization that reviews the rules of the game, has thought it's time for a crossover in today's football.
It is about the card, which gives the referee the opportunity to remove a player from the game for 10 minutes, to then return to the field at the end of this period on the bench. According to " The Telegraph ", the blue card will be used only for tactical fouls that stop promising goal-scoring actions, but also for opposition to the referees of the match.
Two blue cards, or the combination of one with one yellow, will bring the red card and the final removal from the game of the footballers, who from now on must be careful even for actions that previously did not produce cards.
The experimentation will start during this summer with different activities, as it is expected that the FA Cup will be one of them in the first rounds of the activity, without the big English teams entering the competition.
