Lindon Selahi has been declared the Croatian champion with Rijeka. The 26-year-old, who became the leader of the team's midfield this season, was part of the historic triumph.
Rijeka performed a miracle, surprising everyone and adding the second championship trophy in the club's history. They finished level on points with Dinamo Zagreb. And although both teams, along with Hajduk Split, won their last week's matches, luck smiled on Rijeka again.
The victory for the team where Selahi plays was won with goals from Jankovic and Fruk. The latter scored a goal for Slaven Belupo from a distance of about 40 meters, a goal that also brought calm. Rijeka won the title only because of the advantage in direct matches.
Meanwhile, Selah has not received an invitation from Silvino since March 2023. At that time, he was on the bench, while Albania began its European Championship qualifying campaign with a loss to Poland (1-0).
