Sylvio Mendes Campos Junior, known as Sylvinho, will lead the Albanian national football team in EURO 2024. The 50-year-old has been part of the red and black bench since January 2023, and managed to send the team to a major event for the second time.
At the end of July this year, his contract with Albania ends, as the AFL has offered him the renewal in the hope that the red and black will be in the final stage of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place in the USA, Mexico and Canada.
The Brazilian coach has not yet put his signature on the new contract and will probably wait for the adventure in Germany to make the final decision. The fact is that the coach has many fans in Europe and beyond, so a better professional contract in a club is a risk for Sylvinho to leave the National Team.
The good thing about all this is that the AFL has made it clear to the coach that his work has been appreciated and renewal is on the table. The ball this side is from Sylvinho's side.
