Renowned boxer Nelson Hysa, Albania's heavyweight champion, spoke on "Live From Tirana" about the beginnings of his career and the willpower you need to take up this sport.
Has it been your passion since childhood to become a boxer?
I had a family legacy, an uncle of my father was a boxer, one of the most famous of that time. We had gloves at home. I won almost every fight in the neighborhood. At that time I won chocolates and lemonade.
How much money do you earn from your matches today?
Not thousands, it goes into millions. I believe that the next match will be worth even more than 1 or 2 million. But what is important is that I am not doing this for money, but I am doing this for myself, I am doing it for history and I am doing it for my family to make them proud, also for Shkodra, for Albania and then for all the people who live outside Albania to make them proud.
