Barcelona managed to maintain second place in the La Liga table, five points off first place thanks to a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Elche at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium this evening.
The newly promoted team put in a good performance on the road. Despite conceding two early goals through Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres, they found a way to get back into the game before the end of the first half, narrowing the score to 2-1.
But in the second half, Marcus Rashford restored Barca's two-goal lead and sealed the three points with the Blaugrana returning to winning ways after last week's defeat in El Clasico.
