Nicolas Sarkozy, the former president of France, has spoken about his alleged involvement in Kylian Mbappe's decision to stay at PSG and renew his contract in May 2022, instead of leaving for Real Madrid. Sarkozy confirmed this in an interview for "Espejo Público", on "Antena 3".
Suzana Griso, the leader of the program, was clear and direct in her question: "How did you convince Mbappe to stay in France?" Sarkozy, after smiling openly, emphasized that he had nothing to do with this: "No, I had no influence." I didn't play that role."
Is it true or not, he expressed himself very happy that the PSG star did not go to "Los Blancos": "I know Florentino Perez well and I admire him, but Mbappe stayed in Paris. Why? On the other hand, the former French president declared that he does not know the future of the French star: "I am not Kilian's spokesperson. I know him, I appreciate him, but that's all."
