Group A of the Champions League has ended in the most unexpected way possible, as Manchester United finished in fourth place and bid farewell to Europe for this edition.
The "red devils" had to beat the qualified Bayern Munich to have a chance to continue in the Champions League or to go to the Europa League. But they were defeated at home thanks to Koman's goal in a match where they rarely attempted the goal, so they end this participation as best as possible.
Meanwhile, Copenhagen will continue in the Champions League, as the Danes have defeated Gallatasaraj in the direct match at home, securing the ticket to the round of 16, while the Turks will play in the Europa League.
Inter did not go further than a goalless draw at home to Real Sociedad in the last group game, closing this stage in second place. Despite the efforts, Inzaghi's black men failed to unlock the duel. Although with equal points, the first place was held by the Spaniards with the best goal difference.
Meanwhile, regarding the other duel between Salzburg and Benfica, the Portuguese team managed to win with the result 1-3, being ranked in third place, sends it to the 1/16 stage of the Europa League. In Group C, Real Madrid finished with full points, after winning 2-3 against Union Berlin in Germany. Napoli advances further as second place, after the 2-0 success against Braga, with the latter having to settle for 3rd place.
