What happened then is coming back to haunt them. The Serbian Football Federation has issued a strong warning as the World Cup qualifier against Albania approaches.
The Serbian Football Association issued a very serious statement, which it distributed to all media outlets and asked them to publish it in full.
Many of these media outlets responded to this call, while the Federation emphasizes that the challenge of October 11 is considered to be of the highest degree of risk.
To better substantiate this concern, the institution's leaders emphasized that FIFA, as happens very rarely, has sent two security agents to follow the match at the Leskovac stadium, which shows how serious this duel is, and that the emphasis should be placed solely on sport.
The Federation also announced that a cooperation group has been created with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, other competent bodies in the country, as well as with FIFA and UEFA.
Specifically, the statement recalls what happened in October 2014, when fans entered the Partizan stadium field in Belgrade after a drone with a banner appeared, and when Albanian national team players were attacked, including by security guards.
The Serbian Federation emphasizes that what happened then caused great damage in sporting and financial terms.
