Dele Ali has appeared in a different narrative with Manchester United legend Gary Neville. The former Tottenham star has often been seen as a very talented player on the pitch but with many problems in his behavior outside of football.
Now, in the given narrative, everything makes sense and the reasons why the player had such behaviors are clearly given. He confessed that he was raped by a friend of his mother, who was also an alcoholic.
"When I was 6 years old, a friend of my mother raped me because my mother was an alcoholic. Then I was sent to Africa to be disciplined and brought back again. When I was 7 years old, I started smoking and a year later I was selling drugs. An old man told me that I am a child and no one doubts me, so I distributed it on my bicycle.
At the age of 11, I was hanged under the bridge. There was a man I had next door. At the age of 12 I was adopted by another family and that was the family I wanted, it was perfect. When I was 24 years old I wanted to retire from football, I could see that I wasn't going to make it but I thought it's hard to give up what you love the most. From the outside, I looked like I had won the battle and the war, but in fact, I had lost it from the inside", says Dele Ali in his confession.
