A scandal happened in the Europa League, in the Fenerbahçe - Manchester United challenge.

The fans of the "Red Devils" remained trapped in the "Sukru Saratsoglu" stadium until the early hours of Friday, despite the fact that the match against Fenerbahçe had ended on Thursday evening.

Footage has circulated on social media showing around 2,500 England fans stuck outside the stadium in a small area, with those said to have been standing still for more than two hours.

In footage that has gone viral on Twitter, United fans are seen trying to squeeze through a small door to leave the pitch, with most fans unable to even leave the stands.

United's challenge against Jose Mourinho's side ended in a 1-1 draw. The "Red Devils" thus continue their journey without a win in the Europa League.
