Official/ FIFA designates the stadium where the World Cup final will be played, the home of the American football teams will raise the prestigious trophy

It may seem far away on paper, but the highest governing body of world football, FIFA, has begun to prepare, down to the finest details, the organization of the 2026 World Cup, which will take place entirely in North America, and more specifically, in Canada, Mexico and the United States of America.

Among the latest details revealed by FIFA are the opening and closing dates of the tournament, as well as the stadiums where these events will take place, as everything will start on June 11, in the "mythical" Mexican "Azteca", a stadium that for the first time in the history of this competition, it will open the World Cup for the third time, after the 1970 and 1986 editions.

Meanwhile, according to FIFA's announcement, the match that will determine the winner of the World Cup will be played on July 19, 2026, at the "MetLife" stadium, located in New Jersey, the home of the American football teams New York Giants and New York Jets.
