
The Albanian national mini-football team has qualified for the 1/16 round of the "Socca World Cup 2024" World Championship. The Reds achieved the most important victory today, defeating the leaders of the group, Mexico, with a score of 3-1. A match dominated by Irtan Sejko's team that scored three spectacular goals. Armand Gapi, Guido Tepshi and Endrit Kaca scored for the Reds.
Coach Irtan Sejko started the match against Mexico with this starting line-up: Kejd Myrta (GK), Joanc Duqi, Endrit Kaca, Mehmet Hoxha, Erald Leci and Giovanni Hoxha.
The Reds, after much persistence, managed to unlock the match only in the extra minutes of the first half. Armand Gapi, after recovering a ball in the midfield, did not make a mistake alone in front of the goalkeeper. The second goal came from a beautiful combination between Kaca and Tepsi. The latter doubled the result with a spectacular shot.
Albania also scored the third goal with Endrit Kaça. The Red and Black captain took advantage of the opposition goalkeeper's exit and sealed the qualification in the round of 16 with a beautiful shot. At the end of the match, Mexico also found its way to the net.
In the round of 16, Albania will face Belgium.
