During an interview with Rio Ferdinand, the Portuguese expressed doubts about the Frenchman's ability to adapt to the pressure of playing at Real Madrid.
He emphasized that Real Madrid is a completely different level compared to PSG and that he was not sure how Mbape would cope with the mental demands of the game at the "Santiago Bernabeu".
" We will see if he will have a clear head and if he will cope well with the pressure, because Real Madrid is not PSG ", said Ronaldo.
Ronaldo acknowledged that Mbappe is undoubtedly a great player, but questioned whether he would improve the team or fit in with the club's culture.
" Mbape went there (to Real Madrid) and you say, will Real Madrid be better with him? We don't know, we have to see ," he added.
Ronaldo stressed that only time will tell if Real Madrid will become stronger with Mbape and suggested that, although the club has many great players, it is impossible to predict the outcome.
" I think Real Madrid will remain strong, but I don't know if they will be better than last year. Let's see. Only God knows. But they have a great team, great players ," Ronaldo concluded.
