Ardian Ismajli is Torino's newest player. The Albanian defender, who arrives as a free agent after leaving Empoli on June 30, arrived on Monday morning at the Institute of Sports Medicine, inside the "Olimpico Grande Torino" stadium, to undergo medical examinations before signing a contract with the club and being made available to coach Marko Baroni, starting on Tuesday, when the team will start training at the "Filadelfia" center. Everything went according to plan, and the Albanian defender will then sign a three-year contract with the Turin club, with the option of extending for another season.
According to Italian media, Ismajli will be paid 1.1 million euros per year plus bonuses. Ardian Ismajli, born in 1996, ended his adventure with Empoli after 106 appearances in total, of which 31 in the last season alone. In total, the 28-year-old has played 117 matches in Serie A, while he has scored one goal and provided two assists.
His arrival at a large club with a lot of history in Italian football, such as Torino, is an important step in the career of the Albanian footballer, which is expected to have a positive impact on his representation with the jersey of our national team.
Recently, the Turin club posted on social media a double-headed eagle formed with hands, symbolizing the Albanian flag, hinting that in the coming hours, Ismajli's presentation will also be on the official website.
