Accused of racism, the Italian Federation forgives Acerbi: He did not say it out

Francesco Açerbi was dismissed without being punished for the issue of racist insults against Juan Jesus in the match between Inter and Napoli. The Black Panthers defender, who was absent from the Italy squad while he was under investigation over the matter, was today found not guilty in a decision that is sure to cause plenty of controversy.

The Sports Court in the Italian Federation has decided to acquit the player for lack of evidence, or more precisely, for lack of "obvious" evidence of the phrases he is accused of uttering against Juan Jesus.

In the text of the decision, it is specified that it was verified "the expression of some words of Acerbi towards Juan Zhezus, which correspond to insults which, apart from the others, were not made louder (with a tone that was not perceived by the other players on the field, from judges or officials)". At the same time, it became clear that the good faith of Juan Jezus was not questioned for the accusations he made, he simply did not have the "minimum proof that would bring complete certainty" to convict Açerbi.

In short, the lack of actual audio of Acerbi's insults, or a third person's testimony, made the Inter player innocent.
