The Championship of the Superior category plays this Saturday in the final week, with many verdicts still in play.
An edition as special as it is talked about for the new scheme, the Final Four, an extra challenge for the four first place teams to share the title, Europe but also the money after 36 weeks of the classic championship.
In an interview for Top Channel, the general secretary of the AFL, Ilir Shulku, explains more about this end of the football year.
"The Final Four has really had skeptics, but the reality is something else, this championship showed a lot of competition. But apart from this, the clubs through this scheme will also have many financial benefits, the club that will be the first after 36 weeks will be rewarded with 100 thousand euros, a reward that has been annual from the federation, but also the teams that are ranked within the four they will receive, the second 70,000 euros, the third 50,000 euros and the fourth 20,000 euros.
But what is the advantage of a team that has to compete for 36 weeks to be ranked first, or even second, when then it will have to play two finals again to be considered champions? How will Monday's draw work for these four teams?
"One pot will be drawn from the first pot and then one from the second pot where the third and fourth place are, the advantage of the first and second place is that in case of a tie, the team that is better ranked will advance , that is, in the first or second place, while the final match will be complete, in case of a tie there will be extra time and then the penalty shootout".
However, the Albanian clubs, as well as the European ones, aim not only for the financial aspect, but also for the sports, to participate in the European Cups. How will the distribution of our teams be in this edition for the European Cups where we participate?
"The team that will emerge champion in the Final Four will be the team that participates in the preliminary round of the Champions League, while the other two second and third place teams will participate in the preliminary round of the Conference League, as well as the team that will win the Cup of Albania will participate in the first pre-eliminatory round of the Conference League, in case the winner of the Cup will be one of the participating teams in Europe, then the next team that comes after them below in the ranking will be added" .
Currently, the first, second and third places have been determined, which are Egnatia, Vllaznia and Partizani, the latter two still competing for the second place, while for the fourth place there are 4 teams competing Skënderbeu, Tirana, Dinamo and Teuta./ TCH
