A symbolic moment accompanied the 50th citizen protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, where one of the protesters distributed symbolic medals to the participants in gratitude for the resistance shown over the past few weeks.
Addressing those present, he said that the medals were made of paper, but according to him, each protester deserved much greater appreciation for the determination shown.
"Today I have the honor to decorate you all with a medal. It is made of paper, but you deserve a diamond medal. There is no precious metal that can reach your prestige. There is no bridge that can reach the prestige of united Albanians. You showed that we are an invincible force," he said.
Continuing his speech, the protester described the mobilization as a historic moment, emphasizing that it is one of the longest civic protests in the country. He said that the participants have faced criticism, attacks and insults, but have not retreated.
"Today we are making history. We have entered into one of the longest protests. For 50 days we have endured hatred, mudslinging, insults and insults, but we did not give up and we will not give up," he declared.
The protester added that the resistance will continue regardless of its duration, emphasizing that the participants will not give up the protests.
"Not 50, not 150, but 1,550 days we will be here again. They have tried to divide us and label us all this time, but we are Albanians of Albania," said the citizen.
He also called on citizens who have not yet joined the protest to participate in future rallies.
"For those not in the square, the message is clear: Come to the protest," the protester concluded.
