The Dutch pilot, Max Verstappen with Red Bull secured pole position this afternoon at the Imola track, valid for the Italian Grand Prix in Formula 1. The world champion set a time of 1'14"746, being the fastest on the track.

In second and third place were classified the two McLaren cars, with Oscar Piastri leaving behind his teammate Lando Norris. Then, the two Ferrari cars were ranked, Charles Leclerc (fourth) leaving behind Carlos Sainz (fifth).

A slightly better performance was expected from Ferrari, but the "redhead" finished behind both Red Bull and McLaren, which confirmed that it is having a good moment after the triumph in Miami two weeks ago.

For Verstappen, this is "pole" no. 39 in his career, being in good shape. The other Red Bull car, that of Sergio Perez, ranked 11th, was completely different. However, the drivers were close to each other and a strong race is expected on Sunday.

George Russell with Mercedes (sixth), Yuki Tsunoda with RB (seventh), Lewis Hamilton with Mercedes (eighth), Daniel Ricciardo with RB (ninth) and Nico Hulkenberg with Has (i ten).
