With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia available for €85m in January, Napoli are looking to the future and targeting LOSC winger Edon Zhegrova.
Multiple sources are confident that stalled contract renegotiations are pushing Partenopei towards letting Kvaratskhelia leave midway through the season.
Interested clubs include Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United. When it comes to his replacement, Sportitalia are targeting Zhegrova, the Kosovar who is currently making his mark at Lille.
Landing him in January could prove difficult, but Napoli could try to lay the foundations for the summer, especially as his contract expires in June 2026.
Zhegrova is seen as an alternative to Kvaratskhelia
Zhegrova has contributed eight goals and two assists in 21 games for LOSC so far this season and has already caught the eye of Juventus in their Champions League clash. Lille bought him from FC Basel in January 2022 at a cost of €7 million and his value has increased to €30 million.
Notably, Zhegrova mainly plays on the right wing, while Kvaratskhelia prefers the left. Among the reasons for Kvaratskhelia's possible departure is the impressive performance of David Neres on the left wing.
