A serious incident has shaken the Real Madrid environment this Wednesday at the Valdebebas training center, where Federico Valverde and Aurelien Chuameni were involved in a physical altercation during first-team training.
According to reports from Spanish media outlet AS, tensions between the two players began upon arrival at training, when Valverde refused to shake the French midfielder's hand. The situation then escalated in the dressing room and during the training session.
Valverde reportedly accused Chuamen of leaking information about an argument that had taken place the day before. The verbal conflict ended in a physical altercation, with sources saying Chuamen punched the Uruguayan.
As a result of the incident, Valverde fell and hit his head, suffering a cut that required hospital treatment and stitches.
Real Madrid officially reacted through a statement, confirming the initiation of disciplinary proceedings against the two players.
" Real Madrid announces that following the incidents that occurred this morning during the first team training session, it has decided to open disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurelien Cuameni."
"The club will provide updates on both procedures once the relevant internal procedures have been completed ," the Madrid club said in a statement.

According to Spanish media, both players risk temporary suspension and could miss El Clasico against Barcelona. So far, neither Valverde nor Chuameni have publicly reacted to the incident.
