Nedim Bajrami is in the adaptation period with the new team of Glasgou Rangers. The attacking midfielder is playing for the Scottish team and speaking before the next match with Aberdeen (the team where Ramadani played), he said that he feels good in Scotland.
He shares what has changed since his time here and what is his favorite position on the pitch, as well as the differences with Italian football.
How important is the game against Aberdeen?
I think every game is big for us, every game is important. We know how important the game against Aberdeen is because they are still unbeaten this season. So we go out there and give our best and our best performance ever. I think we have a lot of young players, they have to adapt to the team. I'm new here too, so it's going to be a tough game.
What have you been up to since your time at Renxher?
I like it a lot, we have a good atmosphere in the dressing room. I like the way we play, the coach, what he wants from the team. Scottish football is different from Italian football, but I'm adapting very quickly here.
How do you think the team has evolved since you arrived?
I came here to Scotland because I like to play attacking football and win every game, win trophies. My performance here, I think is good, maybe to score some goals and more assists to help the team. I now play on the wing, so with Xhefte and Tom Laurence at number 10, I like playing with these two guys because I feel really good on and off the pitch.
Do you want to play more centrally, or are you happy to continue playing for the team?
We're playing football… it's not just one position. You have to play a different position, but I'm also happy on the left wing because there's a lot of rotation. I don't just sit on the left wing, so I like this position.
What are the biggest differences with Scottish football compared to other leagues you've played in?
I played the last five years in Italy and I think there is more tactical football. So in Scotland they play more up and down, it's faster and I like that because you have more space, you can score more goals and that's what I like.
Is the game here more physical than you're used to?
Yes, we have some teams that are really physical, they are different than in Italy, but I try to adapt and give my best in every match.
