The transition of the players from the representative of Kosovo to the red and black national team has brought great anger in the football environment of Kosovo. A few weeks ago, Arbnor Muja and Mirlind Daku wore the jersey of the Albanian national team. Both chose to represent red and black colors.
While the most recent case was that of Dion Berisha yesterday, who was part of the U-21 team of Kosovo, but who accepted the invitation of the Albanian National Team led by Alban Bushi.
Through various social networks, fans and commentators have expressed great sadness about this phenomenon. In one of them, a poll was even conducted, asking if the players are considering the representative of Kosovo as a Plan B?
The head of Kosovo, Florent Muslija, also reacted to this, for whom this did not seem moral and professional at all.
"Support and respect for Kosovo at all times. In support of Kosovo even when I was bad, but also now when I am well. I said "YES" to Kosovo when I was part of the U-20 and invited to the U-21 of Germany. There were seduction tendencies from many nationalities as well for me to change my mind. Kosovo is our state, which was created with effort and sacrifice of lives, and FFK as part of our state also spent in isolation for nearly three decades with sacrifices of many generations so that we can now enjoy this period to represent our state in the whole globe.
Even then, I did not see the national team of Germany, nor today the national team of Kosovo, and I do not see it for my personal promotion. But I have seen it and see it as the pride of representing the state of Kosovo and to make all the citizens of my country happy. And now I have a message for all those fellow players of all age groups. It is a legitimate right of everyone to decide with their heart, it is also a legitimate right to analyze and consult. But the moment you decide to say "YES" to the Dardanians and your country, it is neither moral nor professional and there is no reason to change your mind for other temptations ", were Musliaja's first words on social networks.
" Kosovo has been close to me through its representative in Germany since I was 12 years old. FFK is doing the same thing all over Germany and Europe and this forced me to react because all this effort, all this care over the years to stay close to the talents should not have had room for despair. We love Kosovo, Dardana with deeds ", concluded Muslija.
