In France, it is reported that Zidane is preparing to replace Deschamps as coach of the national team after the 2026 World Cup. According to "L'Equipe", the moment is expected to come, although the exact date when he will take charge of the "Roosters" is still unknown. The media emphasize that on July 12, during the celebration of the 27th anniversary of the 1998 World Cup, it was clear that Zidane would become the next coach.
Deschamps did not attend, while legends such as Laurent Blanc, Bogosian, Vincent Candela, Barthez, Karemba, Petit, Diomede, Aimé Jack, as well as Pogba and Platini were present. Zidane also joined in on the jokes with his colleagues about the future, also chatting with Blanc about his experience as France coach (2010-2012).
A close friend of Zidane told the media: “ He knows everything…, information comes to him more than he asks for it. He knows that the players of France dream of working with him .” However, Philippe Diallo, the president of the FFF, is more cautious: “ It is too early, the Federation will be ready when the moment comes .”
