Canada: Host country with big ambitions

Qatar: Looking for a surprise
Qatar is considered the least favorite team in the group, but aims to defy expectations.
Football in the country has seen significant development over the past decade. The greatest achievements remain the triumphs in the Asian Cup in 2019 and 2023, which have placed Qatar among the main forces on the continent.
Participation in the 2022 World Cup as a host country marked Qatar's historic debut in the competition. The 2026 World Cup will be even more significant, as it is the first time the national team has secured qualification through the qualifiers rather than as hosts.
