Tensions and clashes continue as residents of Theth protest with the police.
Today, a woman in Theth lost consciousness during a clash between residents and forces of the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection and the police, who went to the area to demolish unauthorized buildings.
The situation in the area has become tense after residents resisted the police, forcing authorities to increase the presence of police officers. Earlier, clashes between residents and the IKMT led to the temporary suspension of the demolition of buildings on Wednesday.
On Thursday morning, the director of the IKMT, Dallëndyshe Bici, was also present in Theth, and she requested that the operation continue at a faster pace. According to IKMT officials, around 70 to 80 unauthorized buildings have been identified in this area that need to be demolished.
Initially, the action was planned to last 5 days, but authorities warn that the process could take longer due to resistance from residents. To speed up the demolitions, IKMT has brought another demolition team to the area.
