The Gjirokastra Prosecutor's Office has requested the confiscation of the assets of a citizen with the initials DA and persons associated with him, as they are suspected of having benefited from illegal sources.
The request was made within the framework of property proceedings no. 2, of 2019 and is based on law no. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the Prevention and Suppression of Organized Crime, Trafficking and Corruption through Preventive Measures against Property".
According to the Prosecution, the assets for which confiscation is requested include:
350 m² plot of land in the city of Gjirokastra
Plot of land 1500 m² and construction 23 m² in Lazarat
Plot of land 450 m² and 1646 m² in Grehot
7000 m² field in the village of Arshi Lengo
Commercial building with an area of 6500 m², built in 2005 in the village of Kordhocë
Shop and warehouse built in 2013 in Kordhocë
Mini-football field with an area of 500 m² and a 37.2 m² building in Lazarat
Mercedes Benz car
The prosecution emphasizes that the investigation of suspicious assets and the application of preventive measures in accordance with the law are a priority in the fight against organized crime and corruption.
"The Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Gjirokastra requested the confiscation of the assets of citizen DA and persons related to him, pursuant to Law No. 10192, dated 03.12.2009 "On the Prevention and Suppression of Organized Crime, Trafficking and Corruption through Preventive Measures Against Assets", as amended.
At the conclusion of the preliminary investigations of property proceedings no. 2, of 2019, the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Gjirokastra requested the confiscation of assets that did not have legal sources for their creation, as follows:
Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 350m2, in the city of Gjirokastër;
Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 1500m2 and a building of 23 m2 in Lazarat, Gjirokastër
; Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 450 m2, in Grehot , Gjirokastër
; Property of the type “Truall” with a surface area of 1646 m2 in Grehot, Gjirokastër
; Property of the type “Arë” with a surface area of 7000 m2 in the village of Arshi Lengo, Gjirokastër;
Commercial building with a surface area of 6500 m2, built in 2005, village of Kordhocë, Lazarat;
Shop and warehouse, built in 2013 in the village of Kordhocë;
Mini-football field with a surface area of 500 m2 and a one-story building with a surface area of 37.2 m2, built in Lazarat;
“Mercedes Benz” car, the Prosecution announced.
