Candidate Zeqir Kordhoni's request to the CEC to verify the documents submitted by the "Shqipëria Bëhet" coalition to implement their pledge that candidates on closed lists would give way to candidates with the most votes on open lists caused quite a bit of surprise and confusion today.
But this request by Kordhoni does not seem so "out of the blue", if you carefully look at the documents that were submitted with his signature to the CEC.
From a naked eye, it is clear that in three different documents that candidate Kordhoni signed to be submitted to the CEC, the signatures are of three different models.

Moreover, during the communication with Euronews Albania, this Thursday it was Kordhoni himself who cast doubts on the documents submitted with his signature, where he emphasized that it is not very clear what he has signed, raising suspicions of a possible forgery. Regarding the latter, Kordhoni expressed himself reserved, emphasizing that he will see the documents, will speak with the leaders of the coalition, Lapaj and Shabani, and then will take a public stance.

It remains to be seen whether Kordhoni will follow through on this matter to discover whether his signature was forged, or whether he was simply careless in the documents he signed.

If Kordhoni pursues this matter to the end, it will be the turn of the competent authorities, namely the Police and the Prosecution, to launch an investigation to examine the signatures on these documents. / EuronewsAlbania
