Tensions in the Assembly, Bardhi: The opposition is being denied the right to

Deputy Gazment Bardhi declared that the opposition will not withdraw from its action, while he called on the majority to call to reason. Bardhi has stated that the opposition did not allow the normal continuation of the session even today, stressing that according to him, the opposition is being denied the constitutional right to establish investigative commissions.

He said that the Assembly has lost its legitimacy and added that the opposition action will continue until the opposition is guaranteed its constitutional rights.

"Even though the Assembly has been in an anomaly for a long time, the majority has no respect for the rights of the opposition. We have not asked for any favor for ourselves but only to exercise our constitutional rights. The opposition is denied the right to have its representative in the Electoral Reform Commission.

The opposition is denied the right to control the government. We have a duty to control the government on the implementation of contracts in the field of health and Edi Rama's decision-making in conditions of conflict of interest. What you saw today was the continuation of our action to prevent the majority MPs from continuing their work in the session. Practically, this hall has lost its legitimacy as the place where the representatives of the Albanian people gather", said Bardhi.
