Während die regierungsfeindlichen Proteste in ihre vierte Woche gehen, positionieren sich immer mehr historische Persönlichkeiten der Sozialistischen Partei gegen Edi Rama. Die ehemaligen Minister Arta Dade, Ditmir Bushati, Arben Malaj und Ermelinda Meksi sowie der FRESSH-Gründer Ilir Zela haben die aktuelle Regierung scharf kritisiert, die Forderungen der Protestierenden unterstützt und Rama Autokratie, Korruption und eine Abkehr von linken Idealen vorgeworfen.
Während die Bürgerproteste nun schon 25 Tage andauern und der Druck auf die Regierung zunimmt, zeichnet sich innerhalb des sozialistischen Lagers eine weitere Entwicklung ab. Prominente Vertreter der albanischen Linken, Persönlichkeiten, die die Sozialistische Partei seit den frühen Jahren des Übergangs mit aufgebaut haben, kritisieren offen Edi Ramas Vorgehen gegen die Proteste und die Art und Weise, wie das Land regiert wird.
Nach Marjana Koçeks Austritt aus der SP und zu einem Zeitpunkt, an dem Elisa Spiropali Positionen vertritt, die als Annäherung an die Protestierenden interpretiert werden, wächst die Liste der kritischen Sozialisten täglich. Ehemalige Minister, ehemalige Abgeordnete und Gründer historischer SP-Strukturen äußern Kritik, die vor wenigen Jahren noch undenkbar gewesen wäre.
Eine der schärfsten Reaktionen kam vom ehemaligen Außenminister Ditmir Bushati, der die von der Regierung verwendete Darstellung der Protestierenden zurückwies.
„ Sie werden weder vom Iran noch von Algorithmen gesteuert und haben ihre Ziele noch viel weniger aus den Augen verloren. Sie sind Albaner, die gegen die Behandlung ihres Heimatlandes als Plündergut empört sind. Sie sind sich der Folgen des schädlichen Bündnisses zwischen Politik, Oligarchie, Medien und organisierter Kriminalität bewusst. Sie sind Bürger, die glauben, dass Albanien mehr verdient: mehr Gerechtigkeit, mehr Würde, mehr Hoffnung und mehr Chancen für alle “, sagt Bushati.
Noch schärfer äußerte sich der frühere Minister und ehemalige sozialistische Abgeordnete Arta Dade, der sich am Tag der Gründung der Sozialistischen Partei offen auf die Seite der Protestierenden stellte.
„ Heute findet man die wahren Sozialisten nicht bei den von oben einberufenen Anti-Kundgebungen. Sie sind dort, wo der Geist der Linken seit jeher zu Hause ist, auf dem Platz, wo die Jugend für Würde demonstriert. Dieser Platz, den Herr Rama heute zu füllen versucht, repräsentiert nicht die Geschichte der Sozialistischen Partei, sondern ihre Entfremdung “, erklärte Dade.
In another part of her reaction, she goes even further: " The tragedy is that the system we fought against was not destroyed. It was reinforced by the one who has today occupied the leadership of the Socialist Party. My rejection today is against him and against the anti-corruption and facade rallies. Albania needs a reborn left on its initial ideals. The hour of this return has struck ."
Another important voice is that of Ilir Zela, founder and first chairman of FRESSH, who considers the protest as a consequence of the deformation of the Socialist Party.
" It is today's autocracy that has distanced itself from the aspirations of Albanians. It is the enriched, fat and over-aged Renaissance people in power, the bearers of corruption and amalgamation with crime, who are the object of this protest. I have seen these days socialists participating in protests, testifying to their concern for the state in which democracy in the country has fallen ," Zela wrote today.
But his criticism culminates in a direct call to the prime minister.
" The masks have fallen and Edi Rama owes the Socialists his resignation, clearing the way. If he doesn't do it, the Socialists cannot jump with him into the abyss he is dragging them into. They will know how to choose another path ," he declares.
Former Minister of Economy, Ermelinda Meksi, has also raised concerns about the way the Socialist Party functions today, supporting Zela.
" A party that does not reflect on itself, that does not open up to criticism and that does not renew its internal mechanisms, risks losing its connection with its membership and with society. The Socialist Party needs more collegiality, more debate, more meritocracy and more space for dissenting opinions ," she says.
Ndre Legisi also came out alongside Zela. "Getting the Socialist Party out of the mud that Edi Rama put it in is the obligation of the socialists of the years of sacrifices," Legisi wrote.
Meanwhile, former minister Arben Malaj warns that the government is trying to crack down on the protest through pressure and attacks on public figures who support it.
"Peaceful and patriotic protests are a horror for Rama. Rama will do everything to divide you, by slandering the inspiring figures of the protest, by threatening you or buying off some of you. He will do everything to make the protesters lose their patience and become aggressive. But the strength of this movement is precisely its peaceful and civic character," Malaj declares.
If until yesterday, criticism of Edi Rama came mainly from the opposition, today the panorama is changing. More and more historical figures of the Socialist Party are distancing themselves from the official party line and are showing understanding, support or even open sympathy for the protesters.

Rama e ka përdorur PS-në tënde për të pastruar xhepat e 90% dhe për të mbushur kutitë e 10%. Ai ka marrë 50% të të gjitha kutive në interes të tij. Kjo është bërë para syve tuaj dhe nën çatinë e PS-së dhe ti ke qëndruar i heshtur dhe indiferent për 12 vjet! TANI pelikanët rozë do të të godasin në kokë për të të zgjuar, por loja mbaroi! Ti je pjesë e kësaj sepse nuk e ke mbajtur "timonin" në kohën e duhur.

Ky grup nuk ka qënë asnjë ditë me Ramen! Arben Malaj nuk ka qënë deputet i Ramës. Ermelinda Meksin e hoqi që ne mandatin e parë. Ilir Zela nuk ishte më as deputet DHE as post ministror. Arta Dade as deputete dhe as post ministror me Ramen! Nere Legisi asgje... Njerezit që permendni ju kane qënë deputete dhe funksionare të Ramës, me perjashtim të Rexhep Mejdant, por edhe atij qoken ja beri Rama me të birin.
Këta persona nuk synuan shkatrrimin e Shqipërisë si Rama, asnjeri nuk është vëlla a motër e Aleksandër Sorosit as miku i Bibit. 5 është vërtet numër i vogël, por gjithnjë më i madh se -5. Ndërkohë asnjeri prej tyre nuk është debil sa Zeqineja, vulgar sa Balla dhe antishqiptar sa Rama
