Journalists Xhevair Zhabina and Sokol Bregu have spoken about the murder of businessman Eduard Reçi, last evening in Tirana, near the palace where he lived.
Zhabina stated that he was shot with a modified weapon from about 25 meters away, while journalist Sokol Bregu stated that the businessman was shot from 50 meters away. He adds that the killing is a big revenge and for such remote killings he has paid a lot.
"The way this murder was carried out, it's true about the fireworks. This person had no problems and when he fell to the ground they saw that he had a single wound that was caused by someone who shot from 25 meters with a weapon that is not found in Albania, but has been modified. He built a building in 2011 and in 2020 his business was suspended" , said Zhabina for "TPZ".
"Albania has seen murders from 100 meters and above. The murder of Kastriot Reçi in Mirdita was from a great distance and a murder that happened in Shkodër was shot from Rozafa fortress. Yesterday's distance is about 50 meters. There are many murders in Albania, but they are with Kalashnikovs from 5-6 meters and shoot the target with over 100 bullets. The person had difficulty committing the murder and getting away, and a paid and expensive murder was chosen. What we have seen from "Metamorfoza" are murders over 100 thousand euros. It is a big revenge where a lot has been paid for a murder from a distance" , said Bregu for "TPZ".
