After finishing his experience with Como, Mërgim Vojvoda has immediately found another destination in the Italian football elite. The defender of the Kosovo national team has been officially confirmed as Udinese's youngest player, after successfully passing the medical tests.
Vojvoda left Como after a significant period in the ranks of the team led by Cesc Fabregas, with whom he was part of a historic journey that led the club to its first participation in the Champions League. However, the club's management decided to change the profile of the players available and the parties ended the collaboration.
When he transferred to Como, Fabregas highly praised the Kosovar defender's characteristics, emphasizing his importance to the team.
" The transfer brings experience, strength and defensive consistency to our squad. His ability to play in many roles and his experience in Serie A will be very valuable to continue to strengthen our back line ," said Cesc Fabregas after the deal, for which Como paid around 2.5 million euros, was made official.
Interest in Vojvoda was immediate and Udinese emerged as the next destination for the 30-year-old. The right-back has signed a two-year contract with the black and white club, with the option of a renewal for another season.

Udinese, a consolidated team in Serie A, aims to secure a stable position in the middle of the table this season, while Vojvoda is expected to bring his experience to the defensive department.
The Kosovar footballer himself has expressed enthusiasm for the new chapter in his career.
" I am happy and proud to be here. I am ready to help the team and give my best. Serie A is not an easy championship, but I believe that this team has enough quality to do well ," said Vojvoda after the transfer was made official.
