In Skopje, Pristina and Tirana, the fourth edition of the cultural-scientific manifestation "Drita e Gonxha" began.
Yesterday in Skopje, Pristina and Tirana, organized by the Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Heritage of Albanians, in cooperation with the magazine "Drita", in the presence of the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristijan Mickovski and Deputy The first Prime Minister, Izet Mejhiti, started the fourth edition of the cultural-scientific manifestation "Drita e Gonxha", which will last until September 5 of this year. This year's manifestation coincides with the 114th anniversary of the birth, the 27th anniversary of the death and the 45th anniversary of receiving the Nobel Peace Prize of Mother Teresa.
Declaring this event open, the director of ITSHKSH, Prof. dr. Skender Asani pointed out that every great figure is born and develops in certain social, historical and cultural circumstances and contexts. In most cases, great figures achieve fame and glory far from their country of origin. This is what happened, according to him, with Gonxhe Bojaxhiu - Mother Teresa, who achieved international recognition far from her hometown, but this did not affect her to forget where she came from. On the contrary, wherever she went she carried with her the genes inherited from the family and the spirit of social, religious and ethnic diversity of Skopje's Old Bazaar, Asani said.

Brought up in a family that was not far from the "Heart of Christ" church in the Albanian Catholic quarter of Skopje, Asani, Gonxhe Bojaxhiu said from early childhood as if she had a premonition that this family and religious education would become a school for her. of life. Its subsequent formation then came naturally as a trunk that develops based on healthy roots, he underlined.
"We as an Institute, through special publications, but also through cultural and scientific activities within the Department for the study of the spiritual heritage of Gonxhe Bojaxhiu-Mother Teresa, the only one of its kind in the world, have managed to create the necessary distance of access towards this figure, freeing it from the narrow frames of national belonging, to transfer the attention to a wider diopter of observing this figure, because, finally, it was itself that expanded this diopter in a way that solidarity and globalized human understanding, erasing the boundaries of ethnic, religious and racial divisions. Her whole cause was a long road on which abandoned and sick people walked, who in the end found the warmth of her word and hand. With the name and work of Saint Mother Teresa we will be associated in infinity, but our goal as an Institute, it is to learn from this association, and from its humane causes to build as many bridges of communication and understanding as possible, because only in this way societies are freed from the excessive burdens of national religious egocentrism", said director Asani.

In his welcoming speech, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickovski noted that Mother Teresa is synonymous with everything noble, honest, who was committed to sincerely helping those who need help from the heart. She lived simply during her lifetime, and after her death, she remained synonymous with goodness in the world. Mother Teresa, underlined Hristovski, became the winner of many recognitions and awards for her extremely human commitment in caring for the poorest of the poor, for which she also received the Nobel Peace Prize. Her life knew no boundaries or distinctions and she united different cultures, people and nations. It is also the best connecting bridge today in the country where it originated - Skopje, stressed Prime Minister Mickovski.
