The causes of the fire that engulfed the timber trading point in Lushnje yesterday evening are revealed. It is learned that the fire was caused by an electrical spark in the electricity supply network.
At around 20:00, the strong wind caused the wires on the pole to break, which then came together and caused electric sparks. First, the fire fell on an area of bushes and then engulfed the point of production of wooden pallets.
Although the fire brigade intervened in time and rain, the fire continued throughout the night until all the timber was burnt. The danger to nearby homes and businesses was averted from the start by firefighters. While the passage on the side of the highway was blocked by traffic until the fire was isolated by firefighters.
