Journalist Artan Hoxha has revealed for the first time new details regarding the tape he has available regarding "January 21".
Invited to the show "This Week" on News24, Artan Hoxha stated that the tape was recorded while the Guard Commander was being wiretapped. According to him, his voice is heard very clearly when the order to shoot is given, and the shots of his weapon are heard.
"The most crucial element in the January 21 file remains the audio tape where orders to shoot at protesters are heard. After testifying at SPAK, Sali Berisha claimed that this recording was manipulated, referring to modern technologies. However, the invited analyst, who claims to own the original, refutes this argument, explaining that it is a simple dictaphone recording from 2011, untouched by today's technologies. The most shocking detail discovered is the method of recording. Contrary to what was thought, the audio does not come from the central security system, but is the result of a direct wiretap of the commander of the Republic Guard. This explains the clarity of his voice and the gunshots, making it the main evidence that proves that the orders to kill were clear and direct. This discovery refutes the claims that the killings were not ordered and turns the tape into material evidence that could change the fate of the case, "exposing the chain of command and direct responsibility for the loss of the lives of four citizens," he said.
