The Special Prosecutor's Office has sent letters to the Belgian and French authorities asking to identify the Sky Ecc codes for the Toyota Yaris case where 3.4 million euros were found. SPAK's move comes a few days after the arrest of the former head of the Vlora Prosecutor's Office, Aurel Zarka, while three other persons were declared wanted.
Sources say that the prosecutor's office is seeking information on other Sky Ecc codes in the wake of ongoing investigations into officials and former officials of the judiciary.
According to the investigation file, it is learned that Zarka, through the Serious Crimes officer at the time, Eriona Dautaj, already announced as wanted, intervened in a part of the Toyota Yaris file, a file related to the seizure of 3.4 million euros that were found in the port of Durrës in June 2018.
Specifically, Zarka is suspected of having intervened in this file where the Vladi cousins were involved in order to facilitate their legal positions. Meanwhile, Radovan Çela served as the lawyer of cousins Alfred and Elvis Vladi, after the seizure of 3.4 million euros coming from Belgium.
Zarka was arrested in the early hours of the morning of July 29 during the SPAK and BKH operation in Vlora. The prosecutor of the case, Klodian Braho, asked the court for a prison sentence for the chief prosecutor of Vlora, Aurel Zarka, which was executed. While the measures for Eriona Dautaj, lawyer Radovan Çela and businessman Astrit Vladi have not yet been executed. Aurel Zarka had 4 Sky Ecc app accounts.
